Why does PracticianWorks have an annual license fee?

The annual license fee covers a number of costly updates that keep your practice current with important practice standards. For example, did you know that CPT® updates their codes every year? That’s right, and if you don’t use the current codes when billing, you won’t get paid! So, the license fee includes an annual update to the current CPT Codes. Additionally, when DSM™ updates their codes, your annual update will include those codes as well, at no extra charge! The price of new CPT and DSM books is more than the annual license fee itself!

Additionally, your license fee includes a full year of technical support. Hopefully, our product is so good that you won’t ever need technical support, but we want to be here for you when and if you do.

If you are currently paying a billing service to do your billing for you, then you know that the PracticianWorks’ license fee is a steal compared to what you’ve been paying out.

Finally, your license fee includes any same version upgrades that we make. “Same version” upgrades are upgrades with the same first digit version number, for example a same version upgrade changes from Version 2.2 to 2.3. You will NOT be charged for any same version upgrades. When we make “new version” upgrades (going from 2.3 to 3.0) you will receive a discount as a current owner.

I have downloaded the demo and find that the allignment of the information printed onto my pre-printed CMS 1500 forms is off. What do I do?

Before you contact us, please try several different prints. The CMS 1500 form provides a margin of error of less than a 1/16th of an inch so even the smallest of slippage in a printer's rollers as it pushes the paper through can cause a misalignment. First make sure the paper is properly and snugly installed into your printers' feed tray. Remove, restack, and reinstall your supply of CMS forms. Secondly, closely compare several different prints. If there is variation in the alignment then some or all of the problem likely lies with your printer. Finally, please contact us. An additional problem lies with the multitude of operating sysmtems, printer drivers, and conflicts with other software. Our technical staff will work with you to get your 1500 forms printing properly with your system and printer if at all possible.

What happens if I don’t pay my license fee?

Twenty days prior to the end of your license year, PracticianWorks will begin to prompt you to renew your license. At the end of the year, the program will not allow you to loggin until you contact us. If you decide not to renew your license, we will give you a special password, which will allow you to print or edit any existing data, but you will not be able to add any new records. Anytime after the program expires you can renew your license and pick up where you left off. Contact us at custservice@practicianworks.com if you are in that situation.
