Billing Features

PracticianWorks does something no other practice management software does: It gives you your choice of five different styles for your billing statements. You can choose from our Standard style, Simple 1 and Simple 2, and if you prefer a more delicate flair, Elegant 1 or Elegant 2. You can also bill using either your own CMS 1500 forms or print out our B&W 1500 forms already completed for you from PracticianWorks. Additionally, your billing statements are custom-labeled for your practice.

You select the billing period and choose whether you want to bill the patient, the insured, or the insurance company.

Authorization Tracking

Our Authorization Tracking module is currently under development. A release date is not yet scheduled, but we expect it to be available in 2008. The Authorization Tracking will be available in the PracticianWorks Advanced package.

Electronic Claims Submission

Our electronic claims submission module is currently under development and scheduled for release in 2008. It will be available as an add-on module to either PracticianWorks Basic or PracticianWorks Advanced.

Call Logs

PracticianWorks provides you with an easy to use digital call log to keep track of phone calls to insurance companies, patients and insureds.

Reporting Features

One benefit of using a computer to manage your practice is it allows you to analyze the data you enter in many ways. PracticianWorks assists you in evaluating your referral sources and patient contact hours.

Referrals

PracticianWorks makes it easy to track your referral sources. To build and maintain a successful private practice you have to keep track of who is referring to you, and who is not.

Digital Notes

PracticianWorks allows you to go fully digital, if you so desire. You can take progress notes for each session right in PracticianWorks. Additionally, PracticianWorks makes it easy to take administrative notes on the patient, the insured as well as the insurance company.

Pre-Loaded *DSM IV TR and **CPT® Codes

PracticianWorks comes with the complete DSM IV TR codes as well as the current CPT® billing codes and descriptions for mental health. The DSM codes are searchable, making finding exactly the right diagnosis code quick and easy. You will receive annual updates to the current CPT codes and updates to DSM codes whenever a new DSM is released.

Authorization Tracking

If you work with managed care organizations, whether a little or a lot, you need an authorization tracking module. This feature keeps track of the dates of your authorization, the number of visits you were authorized, how many you have used, and how many are remaining. It also tracks how much time you have left on the current authorization. Don’t be stuck not getting paid for a visit because you didn’t have an authorization ever again!

Alarms

PracticianWorks Advanced also provides a reminder feature. You can have PracticianWorks remind you prior to the expiration of an authorization (by date and number of visits) to submit a new OTR.
